I have much of the freeware replacement textures; moon, sun, clouds, ground and am pretty pleased. I am using the built in Skyforce weather which does have some minor issues but the cloud models and all the textures create some amazing skies. It looks very impressive indeed. Imho you will have way too many options too choose from. I have Rex4 and Active Sky Next and they are a fantastic combo.

Soft Clouds is brand new, so I can't speak to it, but it sounds pretty cool. I have a bad feeling that current owners are heading to dead end. And buying directly out from steam, you can use rex for both p3d and fsx. I have actually purchased Skyforce, so long ago I can't remember when must have been on sale and I haven't even installed it. It's in the rex folder. .

We reset this goal every new year for the following year's goal. This new Enhanced Edition August 2017 is 64-bit compliant for use with P3D v4 and includes all new textures and enhanced algorithms. You will truly experience volumetric haze and fog as never before seen within a flight simulator environment. I don't want to feel that I invested in abandonware. Excellent textures, and the fact of not having to use the default weather is a big plus in my book.
